Pigs And Wolves
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Sandbox voxel with infinite procedural terrain. So you can break and place blocks. The generation uses 2D and 3D perlin noise.
Multi-threading used for "rendering" chunks of the world. It deals with calculations about choosing which block faces to render. Chunks load and unload as necessary around the player.
There is crafting. About 4 different recipes. Minimalist recipe layout. "+" means requires, "-" means uses up, "=" means yields.
There are two types of animals. Pigs and wolves. Obviously. They use A* path finding with binary tree sorting. Unlike Minecraft, animals can jump across gaps. Pigs can eat farmland. Wolves attack nearby pigs or players.
Day and night cycle. With sun and moon rotating around the sky. Every morning, pigs and wolves are repopulated.
The player has a hunger system. You take damage when starving, otherwise you heal back to full health over time. You can eat berries or pork chops.
